BINARY FILE:

saw12d.stack is a binary file that
contains the values of the anomalies according
to model SAW12D.
(Li, X.-D., and B. Romanowicz, Global mantle shear velocity model
developed using nonlinear asymptotic coupling theory, J. Geophys Res., 101, 22245-22272, 1996).

Values are given in percents relative to model
PREM, and are floats (4 bytes). 
The format of the file is as follows:

First 360 values are the anomalies at 25km depth
and at 90deg latitude, for longitudes between     
0 to 359 degrees. 

The same is repeated for 25km depth and 
latitude ranging from 89 to -90 degrees.
The spacing between to consecutive latitude
is 1deg (same as for longitudes).

Then the same is repeated for the following depths:
100 200 300 400 500 600 700 800 900
1000 1100 1200 1300 1400 1500 1600 1700 1800 1900 2000
2100 2200 2300 2400 2500 2600 2700 2800 and finally 2860km.


ASCII FILE:
 
saw12d_ascii.stack.Z is the compressed ASCII file that corresponds
to saw12d.stack. Its format (when uncompressed!!!) is:

depth(km) latitude(deg) longitude(deg) anomaly(%PREM)
