In response to requests from many teachers, the NCEDC has created an experimental earthquake catalog search which provides seismicity maps as well as lists of earthquakes.

The simplified search allows a user to select a catalog and one of four possible maps and to limit the search in terms of time or magnitude range. The output includes a list of the events and a gif image.

Please let us know if you have comments or feedback on this new service! While we hope to offer this as an unrestricted service, it is possible that access may be limited during periods of high demand following significant earthquakes.

The NCEDC is a joint project of the University of California, Berkeley and the USGS. Please send us email at ncedcinfo@ncedc.org or fill out our comments form if you have questions or comments about these changes.
