Global Navigation Satellite System Networks
There are several networks of geodetic stations using Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receivers to provide continuous or campaign positioning information in Northern California. Bay Area Regional Deformation (BARD) receivers are located throughout Northern California and are operated by the Berkeley Seismology Lab. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Earthquake Science Center in Menlo Park also operates a network of eight stations in the San Francisco Bay area. These data, as well as data from a large number of campaign deployments in the Western U.S. are available through the NCEDC.
