Professor Eugene Chiang is an assistant professor in both the Departments of Astronomy and of Earth and Planetary Sciences He is interested in the the origin and evolution of planetary systems, both extra-solar and solar. His current research areas includes, extra-solar planetary dynamics, planetary rings, protoplanetary disks and the Edgeworth-Kuiper Belt.

Born in Queens, New York on May 10, 1973. Professor Chiang grew up on Long Island and spent summers in Taiwan. He graduated from M.I.T. with a bachelor's degree in physics and Ph.D from Caltech.
